Strawberry Shortcake: Fun Under The Sun DVD Review

Strawberry Shortcake: Fun Under The Sun

Join Strawberry Shortcake and her berry best pals on some sweet sunshine adventures! Blueberry makes a berry big blunder when she overhears Strawberry and thinks her friend is taking all the pals on a tropical vacation. After Blueberry makes some very funny attempts to make things right, Orange Blossom tries to build the girls their own fabulous resort. When they all work together to make it Berry Bitty City-style, it’s perfect...so perfect, in fact, that TV host Mavis Maraschino decides to do a segment on Cherry Jam right then and there! Will the girls ever get the Fun Under the Sun they’ve been dreaming of?

I remember when I was a child I loved Strawberry Shortcake. Now as a mom with two little girls, I am so happy that they share the same love as I once did. When we received the newest movie from Strawberry Shortcake ‘Fun Under the Sun’ my girls and I sit down with popcorn and a bottle for Lillian while the guys hung out. This was a great movie to watch with my girls and it allowed us to have a nice bonding moment.

My oldest daughter enjoyed the storyline. She also appreciated and connected with the morals that were within the movie. She really loves how Orange Blossom creates a resort for her friends.

My youngest whom is only 8 months enjoyed the bright colors and she enjoyed the funny moments. As a mom, I really enjoyed the movie and was very impressed with the quality and storyline. This is such a great movie for young girls of any age to enjoy and with it being summer this is the perfect time to enjoy this movie.

Devil's Due Blu-ray Review

A young couple's blessed event turns into their worst nightmare in one of the most terrifying horror films ever conceived! After a mysterious night on their honeymoon, Zach and Samantha McCall find themselves dealing with an earlier-than-planned pregnancy. While recording everything on video for posterity, Zach notices odd behavior in his wife, which they initially attribute to nerves, although it soon becomes evident that the disturbing changes to Samantha's body and mind have a much more sinister origin. All will suffer...but who will survive?

Devil’s Due is a horror movie that comes at a time when there seems to be a lack of genuinely frightening movies. So straight out of the gate, it gets a couple of bonus points for that. Since watching other films, I have been missing a follow-up that is dark and frightening enough to fill that horror void. Devil’s Due pulls off plenty of scares and a few cheap thrills, you just have to look past some frustration on the filming side of things, which is mostly a result of the “found footage” style of filming that has grown very popular in this genre.

The storyline follows a young newlywed couple. They are recording the events following their marriage, starting with (you guessed it) the honeymoon. A strange series of events leads to a confused pregnancy less than 24 hours later. Don’t get it? Don’t worry, the rest of the story ensures you don’t really need to. What follows are a series of slow scenes that steadily fill in with suitably creepy  moments and a tirade of surprisingly impressive visual tricks that will make you gasp more than once.

The movie’s conclusion, for me, was easily its strongest point. Some people disagree with this, but as a fan of the horror genre, I have come to expect anything. This movie has all the elements of a good horror movie, but comes up shy of greatness. It is still worthy of purchase in my opinion. There is blood, fear, mystery and some good old fashioned evil, all of the elements necessary for a good fright.
