Let God DVD Review

This faith-based film  follows  the story of young housewife, Amelia, who heads west with her husband during the 19th century gold rush and is left alone without resources in the harsh wilderness when her husband is killed in a savage attack. Battling winter, hunger and the unknown, Amelia must take life into her own hands as she struggles with a loss of faith and battles for her survival.

I am one that loves movies about what would you do to survive when all odds are against you. Would you keep your faith, turn away from God, what would you do to survive? This movie is about a young couple who decided to travel to be part of the California Gold Rush and did not tell anyone including family. However, Amelia does tell her best friend even against her husband’s wishes. While the young couple are traveling something tragic happens Amelia’s husband is attacked and killed which leaves Amelia in the wilderness alone.

Amelia is left alone to find strength to go on even with the cold winter and the unknown in the wilderness. Throughout the movie things happen that will have you thinking what you would do, how would you handle this, how would you survive? As time goes, Amelia meets a young boy in the woods who has a small teepee however; he does not speak in English. However, the little boy stays by her side as she travels to find a safe town and be saved. At last, after all of the harsh cold weather and all the traveling she comes upon a town. When she turns to take the boys hand he is no longer with her, he is simply gone. As if, he was just there to keep her going and not to give up.

This movie will give you chill bumps, and you will love how inspirational this movie truly is.
