Walking With Dinosaurs is one of those rare moments that your children will have to take a flying leap back in time, learning a thing or two along the way but ultimately becoming much more about the ride with plenty of action and humor to keep your children satisfied.
The part of the movie that I am going to focus on In this review is what impressed me most about it, the animation. The dinosaurs are vibrant and they really seem to radiate a feeling of realism. This entire movie is based on a series with BBC, using the same animation techniques to bring the dinosaurs to life. This is realistic animation that adds to the movie’s overall entertainment value.
My kids loved the movie. They didn’t seem to pay as much attention to the dialogue of the movie as much as the dinosaur’s journey, which is star of the movie next to the animation. When I was a kid, I loved the classic dinosaur movies, so it is nice to see modern films that carry on that tradition.
As I said before, the movie is more about pure entertainment then educational value, but there are educational moments, like the displayed name of different dinosaurs as they are introduced. Just be ready to help pronounce the names when your kids ask.
Winner will win a copy of the movie Walking with Dinosaurs on Blu-ray
