My kids love to read however finding a good children's book can be hard at times. I always try to find books that are age appropriate and offer good values that my kids can learn from. Also, something that offers a really good and interesting storyline is always a plus. With my little boy just really learning to read I have been searching for some of the best books that he can learn from and the words are intended for his age group. I had the chance to review a cute little book Rufus and Ryan Go to Church! and it offers everything I am looking for in a book.
Little Ryan describes for his stuffed monkey, Rufus, what is happening and how they should behave as they attend church on Sunday morning. This sweet book introduces young children to and gives them context for a common religious practice.
Rufus and Ryan is a new series of books for preschoolers, featuring Ryan, an energetic little boy, and his stuffed monkey Rufus. Basic Christian and church concepts serve as the foundation of the series, with an additional focus on character traits and development. The text is presented in young Ryan’s voice as he teaches Rufus about the concepts he is learning himself. Each story is about 150 words, using age-appropriate vocabulary and themes.
My little boy really enjoyed the Rufus and Ryan Go to Church book. The book is a hard back with hard pages, which lets me know the book will last for some time. No need to worry about the pages being bent, ripped, or creased. The book offers bright and colorful pages. Throughout the book, it does not really talk about the bible but more about just his day at church. The book is short but offers the perfect sized story for any little kid just learning to read.
