When you are welcoming, your new little bundle of joy into the world there are a few things in the back of your mind. You think did I get everything I needed for my little one. How long will it take to get my family into a new routine especially if you have other kids? Another one I have heard from moms as well as myself is will my baby have colic. Colic is one of the things that can effect up to 25% of infants and as a parent; you just want to make sure your little one is happy. Unfortunately, many times, there is no cause and as time goes, it will fade on its own. With my other kids, they were born with colic but not bad cases. I was able to give them room temperate formula without heating it up and it really helped. With Lillian, however she has colic but the room temperature formula is not working for her as well. Luckily, for Miss Lillian and me we had the chance to do a review for Tommee Tippee.
During my review, I had the chance to do a review on the added comfort bottles from the Closer to Nature line. Tommee Tippee revolutionized the infant feeding market with the launch of the closer to nature line of baby bottles and accessories. Inspired by nature and developed in conjunction with midwives, breastfeeding moms and babies, closer to nature bottles are designed to be the closest thing to natural breastfeeding during the very early stages of baby’s life, from first latch to weaning. The bottles I had the chance to review are designed to help prevent colic caused by air bubbles in her milk.
The closer to nature range includes baby bottles and teats, sterilisers, breast pumps, soothers, teethers, bibs and more for children up to 18 months.
**Unique tube and valve system to provide optimum venting during feeding
**Unique, easy-latch-on nipple shape that promotes continuous feeding
**Soft, natural-feel silicone nipple to make it easier to switch between breast and bottle
**Easy-hold bottle with slow-flow nipple
**Bottle compatible only with Closer to Nature Added Comfort nipples (not Closer to Nature Easi-Vent nipples)
**Designed to be held in the most natural position during feeding, the compact shape of Closer to Nature bottles allows baby to be closer to you.
**The Closer to Nature Added Comfort Bottle’s venting tube changes color if the temperature of the milk is above the recommended 98°F, for added reassurance.
When I first received the bottles to review I was a little overwhelmed by how many pieces there were for the bottle. However, I was not surprised because you can see the design process for the bottle to help with colic issues. I really like that each bottle comes with its own wire brush to help make cleaning the bottle more effective and easier.
Once I got the bottle clean and sterilized I then was able to test Lillian on feeding her with the bottle. I was able to see how much easier Lillian was able to eat with the bottle unlike other bottles that we have. We have some that it seems like it is a job for her to drink out of and all you see are bubbles developing. However, with the Tommee Tippee bottle she is able to eat ease and the amount of bubbles are almost not there.
I noticed that her fussiness is much better. Usually she cries several hours a day without us even knowing why. With these, her crying has improved drastically. She seems to be much happier. She is less gassy, fussy and sleeps much better during her naps and at night since we have switched over to the Tommee Tippee bottles.
