Kernel Season's Pop-to-School Review/Giveaway

With school now in Monday-Friday, it is important to make sure we have some great after school snacks ready for the kids every day. There are so many different things you can prepare quickly for an after school snack. However, my kids are huge fans of popcorn. This is where Kernel Season’s comes in to make sure kids and parents are excited and hungry for the new school year! Kernel Season’s was kind enough to offer me the pop-to-school kit.

If you're not familiar with the brand, Kernel Season's offers a line of all natural, no fat, low calorie (5g or less) shake-on popcorn seasonings. Made with nothing artificial, the 12 popcorn seasoning flavors are gluten free, kosher certified and MSG free. As you may know, popcorn is a naturally healthy snack rich in antioxidants, fiber and protein. With Kernel Season's, kids can add fun flavor to popcorn without jeopardizing its healthful qualities. During my review I received an assortment of 8 popcorn seasonings, 1 bag of microwave popcorn, 1 pouch of popping corn kernels, butter spritzer (helps adhere seasoning to popcorn) and popping & topping oil. The eight flavors I received to review were: Ranch, Caramel, Bacon Cheddar, Garlic Parmesan, Milk Chocolate, Nacho Cheddar, Kettle Corn and White Cheddar.

During our review, it took a little while to get to sample each flavor to allow us to find our favorites. I am glad that we received so many different flavors some I never thought about being a flavor for popcorn.
Last weekend we decided to have a kid’s movie marathon. Movies that we have not seen at all or some that we have not seen in a long time. With it being so close to my due date and the kids back into school, we decided a weekend of laziness sounded good. Once we got all of the movies picked out it was time to start on popping the popcorn. I am glad we received popcorn to pop in the popcorn maker. I think air popped pop corn is so good. However, you can use the seasonings on bagged popcorn in the microwave. To help with the popping of the popcorn I was able to use the movie theater popcorn, which is great for popping and as a topper for the popcorn.

Once we got all of the popcorn popped, we then set up the table with all of the seasoning, movie theater butter and the popcorn spritzer. Not to mention the other snacks, drinks and popcorn bowls for us to have our own bowl to flavor the popcorn, as we would want.
The Popcorn Spritzer Butter is amazing and really helps the seasoning stick to the popcorn. The Spritzer I think is necessary to have if you really want the seasoning to stick to the popcorn to enjoy the flavor with each bit.
My kids each tried several flavors but they have their favorites. Dominique likes the Nacho Cheddar and the Caramel. While Conner loves the Kettle Corn, Nacho Cheddar and the Milk Chocolate Caramel. Hubby however loved every single flavor but his three favorites were the White Cheddar, Bacon Cheddar and Ranch. Myself I really loved the Kettle Corn, Caramel, and the Nacho Cheddar.

I am glad that we can season our own popcorn instead of having to buy a whole bag of flavored popcorn. I like that to season your popcorn it is so easy and my kids can even do it. The popcorn and seasonings have been such a great treat and have made for a great after school snack for my kids. When they get home, I can simply pop some popcorn and they can season, as they would like. Quick and tasty! Also, for the nights when there are sleepovers I can really see the popcorn seasoning being a star.
