Cuisinart Baby Food Marker & Bottle Warmer and Baby Food Storage Containers Review/Giveaway 'Baby Gift Guide'

I cannot believe it before I know it Lillian will be here. With this being, our third child my husband and I have decided to do things a little different than we did with our other kids. We want to provide a different eating experience for our little one as well as save money for the entire family. One thing we have decided to do is make our own baby food vs. buying baby food from the store. Typically, I always bought Gerber baby food but was left wondering what my baby was really eating. Besides that, I am always in shock at how much baby food costs. This time my hubby and I were both equally excited when we decided to make our own baby food. Making our own baby food allows us to know exactly what our little girl is eating.

I came across Cuisinart, which offers several items dedicated to babies. There are four items offered at this time: Baby Food Storage Containers, Baby Bottle Sterilizer, Baby Bottle Warmer/Night Light, and Baby Food Maker & Bottle Warmer. In addition to the baby line, Cuisinart also has a dedicated website that provides a family-friendly forum for new parents with invaluable information to help guide families on their new journey. Some of its highlights are the site’s customized menu planner, stage 1-3 baby recipes, healthy cooking tips for kids and various contests and Cuisinart product giveaways. Click here for more information.

I had the privilege to work with Cuisinart on two items from their baby line for my 'Baby Gift Guide'. During my review, I received the Baby Food Storage Containers and the Baby Food Maker & Bottle Warmer.

A fast and easy way for parents to turn the foods they choose into healthy meals for baby, the unit steams and purees in the same bowl. A 4-cup work bowl means lots of leftovers, which can go right into the refrigerator or freezer. A built-in bottle warmer heats baby's bottle to just the right temperature. Includes Cuisinart Baby recipes.

When I first received the Cuisinart Baby Food Maker & Bottle Warmer, I was immediately amazed. I was impressed with the structure of the food maker and all that it offers when it comes to preparing your babies food. That being said the bottle warmer in the back is a huge bonus. The Baby Food Maker & Bottle Warmer is a product that offers three different tasks in one which allows it to take up less room on the counter. The baby food maker offers you a bottle warmer, food steamer and a food chopper all in one. All things you need when you are dealing with formula and if you are making your own baby food. Therefore, with it being an all in one this is great with the space that it barely takes up.

The bottle warmer is located in the back. You simply lift the top of the baby food maker and there is a measuring cup that you can use to add water into the spot to warm the formula. This area is also the water reservoir for when you steaming food. I like that the measuring cup can be placed right back into the spot for storage. The measuring cup offers two different measurements. One side is dedicated for when you warming milk and the other is when you steaming baby food.

I am amazed at how easy the process to warm the bottle is. You simply pour the required amount of water into the reservoir. You then place your bottle into the water and turn the dial on the front to steam. When the bottle is heated to the correct temperature or the steaming process is completed it will turn off automatically.

During my review part on the food chopper, I decided to make a topping for a sundae. I made the family some strawberry sauce to go onto of our ice cream. This allowed me to test the product but also enjoy something yummy.

The first thing I did was clean and cut the strawberries into chunks. Then I added in the required amount of water. Then I added the water into the reservoir in the back. There is a nice detailed chart included with the unit, for when you are adding water.

I then opened the chop/steam bowl, poured in my strawberries and placed the top back onto the unit. Once everything was in place I simply turned the dial to steam and waited. I think it is nice being able to see the steam build up in the bowl, which lets me know it is airtight and it is doing its job. During this process, no steam escaped the bowl.

Once the light turned off which let me know the steaming process was completed I then started to chop the strawberries. I did this several times until I felt that they were the right consistency. I like that you can either pulse or chop continuously.

Since my kids and I already had the ice cream ready, all we had to do was pour the strawberry sauce over our ice cream. An added plastic spatula with the unit helps you scrap the food out of the bowl.
After testing this product, I am even more excited to use this unit when it comes to providing my little one with homemade baby food. I am sure she will enjoy it as much as we did with the strawberry sauce for our ice cream.

*Steam Rack with vents lets you warm up containers in the Cuisinart Baby® Food Maker
*Storage base holds up to 6 containers in freezer
*Six 2.5-ounce storage containers are designed to fit together perfectly for easy storage.

Another great item that I had the chance to review was the storage containers. Each container holds 2.5 ounces of baby food. I think this product is going to be amazing and is necessary to have when you have the baby food maker.
When you prepare your baby food, you can simply divide into the containers, which also come with lids. Then you can neatly stack them and lock them together with the storage base. Making it great for storage and not taking up hardly any room at all. When you store your food, the storage containers are safe enough to store in the freezer until you are ready to use the food that you have prepared for the baby.

When you are ready to reheat the food that you have made the process is very simple. You simply put the steam/storage rack right into the baby food maker with the containers. You turn on your unit to steam and watch it reheat your baby food. This is so simple and really works great. I did test the product out with several different foods to see how well it really worked.

I have been so impressed with both items I had the chance to review. I am excited for when I get to start making baby food with my new Baby Food Maker.
