NEW Purex plus Oxi Detergent Review/Giveaway

From time to time, I post something about the Purex brand of laundry detergent. Even before I was a Purex insider, I would use it because its cleaning powers, and value, are both second to none. In addition, from time to time, I will receive a product from Purex to review; these are often new products that I have not yet had the chance to try out.

Most recently, Purex has sent me there Purex triple-action + Oxi laundry detergent. This detergent is fortified with the stain-removing power of Zout. This one-two combination can be used to clean clothes and either completely remove the need for pre-treatment, or act as a supercharged accomplice to stain treatment, if the stain is stubborn enough.

The first thing I noticed that separated the triple action Purex from the Purex that I normally purchase was the size of the bottle. This bottle is much smaller. However, it only takes one capful to completely clean a load of laundry that is as large as your washer can handle. I was not skeptic at all. I find that Purex is just as effective at cleaning clothes as the other major brand, and actually more successful than most.

I did have one worry, however. My skin is sensitive to certain chemicals, it always has been. Some of the major brands of laundry detergents have actually caused me to break out after using them. I then had to deal with skin irritation for the duration of the time I wore the clothes that the other detergents cleaned. So moving to a more powerful version of what I already used, with the added stain- fighter, was a concern. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I dealt with no irritation at all. To top it all off, my whites got a little whiter, and the colors got a little brighter.
About the company: The Purex brand was founded in Los Angeles, California in 1922 and, for 88 years, has been known as the laundry brand that consumers trust to provide the most value for the money. Over the years, the company has grown from a single product—liquid chlorine bleach sold in amber pint jars—to the almost two dozen laundry products sold under the Purex brand name today. Moreover, along the way, Purex has been a leader in sustainability and developing eco-friendly products.

Where to purchase: You are able to purchase at local retailers in your area. Prices will vary depending on where you purchase.

Disclosure: I was sent products for free to review for my honest opinion, from either a PR agency or a company. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Your opinions may vary from my opinions. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: " Guides concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.
