Kimochis Review

As moms we know that sometimes it can be difficult to teach little ones what feelings mean. There are so many different feelings that can tend to be a little overwhelming for a little one. We start teaching our little ones at a very young age what feelings mean and how to respect other people's feelings. We don't want them to laugh at something they shouldn't, so learning how to tell the difference and deal with feelings is very important. I was given the opportunity to do a review on a few items from Kimochis who really offer a new and fun way to teach our little ones all about feelings. During my review I was sent Bug, Mixed Feelings Pack 1, and the Mini Huggtopus.

Kimochi (KEY.MO.CHEE) means "feeling" in Japanese. Kimochis characters come with small pillows with a feeling (happy, sad, silly, brave…) printed on one side, and a corresponding facial expression on the other. A how-to Kimochis Feel Guide is also included introducing the personalities of each character and offering parents easy tips and engaging activities to help strengthen the parent-child connection and teach children to identify and express feelings in positive ways.

Kimochis Bug $24.99
Bug is super cute and makes a perfect friend for any little one. The plush character is 13", a great size for sleeping with. Bug also comes with three feelings; happy, brave and left out. These are all able to be stores in the front pouch on Bug's belly. Also , Bug comes with a 48 page feel guide with tons of fun and easy activities. I love the quality of Bug and how well it is stitched. It is soft to the touch nothing rough against our little ones hands, face and body. The pouch in the front is perfect for helping you not loose the feelings. Plus, it allows the little ones to put them in the pouch when they are done playing. The little feelings are super soft and each feeling also has the face look that goes with the feeling. I love that the wings on the Bug can be tucked away for the feeling afraid and then can come back out for showing it is brave. Such a great product to teach little ones about feelings.

Mini Huggtopus $16.99
My little girl just fell in love with the Mini Huggtopus. Of course, at her age of 8 she understands feelings but this product is really cute for all ages. The plush character is 6" and sits perfectly on her desk, or you can see her sleeping with it at nights. It is the perfect size for carrying around. It includes a 2” Silly feeling with carabineer key-chain, which is perfect for her to put her house key onto. She loves to unlock the house so we got her a cute key that is hot pink and zebra so she can unlock the door. She was more than happy to change out her old key-chain for this really cool SILLY one. There is also a Kimochis comic book  'Huggtopus and the Ugghtopus Feeling', which my little girl just loved. It is really cute when she reads it to her younger brother who is 5.

Mixed Feelings Pack 1 $11.99
Mixed Feelings Pack 1 includes 6 - 3” feelings and a washable marker for a Make-Your-Own Blank feeling. This pack includes; Jealous, Loved, Grateful, Scared, Shy, and one Make-Your-Own feeling! These are great to add to the Bug collection of three feelings. It really allows you to grow on the teaching of feelings. As the three that came with the Bug they are soft, has the faces that go with the feeling and also says the word on the back of the face. Each feeling also offers a different color which allows you to work on colors along with feelings.
