Mediterranean Entertaining with Peloponnese Review/Giveaway

Entertaining is part of every culture, and in the Mediterranean know how to prepare flavorful meals with all of the warmth and finesse of the Greek climate. Peloponnese offers diverse and flavorful foods that can help you host a Mediterranean style dinner party for your friends and family. From olives to peppers, and grape leaves the Peloponnese items compliment each other with authentic Greek food that is freshly harvested, naturally processed and exported from Greece.

I have personally never tried Greek or Mediterranean foods prior to my review. I have always looked at the foods and thought about what flavors are offered. So, when I was given the chance to review the Peloponnese products I was thrilled at what flavors I would get to taste but at the same time a little intimidated on how to prepare the food.
Artichoke Spread
Hummus Spread
Halved Kalamata Gourmet Black Olives
Florina Whole Sweet Peppers
Baba Ganoush
Antipasto Party Olives
Specialty Olive Bowl

When I opened my package I couldn't wait to see what flavorful dishes I could create. The first thing I had to do was open each jar and give each product a taste so that I would know what flavors I would have to work with. I couldn't believe how each bit popped in my mouth, and many layers of flavor there was. I was more then ready to start adding some of these flavors into some traditional dishes I make when entertaining.

Since we were having a cookout I thought why not add some flavor to my dishes and really see how my family members react to some new flavors? I added the Antipasto Party Olives into my traditional pasta salad that I typically make for cookouts. In the jar there were brine cured olives, garden veggies and of course my favorite garlic slices. When were were all eating it I soon realized that it was a hit with my family in fact the whole bowl was gone by the end of the cookout.

My hubby really loves spreads so he was more than excited to try each spread. The one that went the fastest with the two of use was the Hummus. It really had a creamy texture that was great on crackers. The Artichoke and Baba Ganoush were quite tasty as well. Each spread offers it own texture and depth of flavors.

The Florina Whole Sweet Peppers are perfect for tacos and burritos. The peppers are bright red, thick and slightly sweet. They are great for slicing and dicing and adding them to really any dish for that sweet pepper taste. The Halved Kalamata Gourmet Black Olives are great to be added to a salad or a garnish. The texture of the olive was typical and the taste was perfect. I can't forget the cute little Specialty Olive Bowl and spreader which is a nice little added item to any table or counter when entertaining.
