Famous Dave's Self Tanner Review/Giveaway

I am a person whose natural complexion is fairly pale, so I have to work very hard at keeping my tan. Sometimes everyday life can get pretty hectic and make it difficult to find the time to keep up with my tanning bed visits. That is why I am always looking for alternatives, such as self tanners to help me on the moments in life when keeping up with my tan seems impossible. Since summer is here I really want to keep up with my tan so I can wear my shorts, capris and, of course, cute summer dresses. I was given the chance to do a review for Famous Dave's Self Tanner and the results were very pleasing. I have read a lot about the tanner in magazines and online so getting to test the product first-hand was very nice.

The products offered from Famous Dave's in self tanning lotions come in a variety of options of colors from dark, medium and light. You can also purchase them in different sizes. You also have the chance to enjoy a product that offers a fragrance-free and natural look to your skin. Each freshly made batch can last up to one year.
During my review opportunity I was sent the Famous Dave's Moisture Tan with Bronzer and a Famous Dave's Application Mitt. Since, I had never personally tried this brand I decided to put it on my upper legs only to see how well the product actually did. This allowed me to be able to cover up the spots if I were not satisfied until the color faded.

When adding the self tanner I was really pleased with the color of the tanner. It allowed me to visually see that I got a very even look onto my legs. I am very glad I was sent the mitt this allowed me to be able to make sure my hands didn't get ruined from color which I have seen happen to friends hands in the past. I didn't notice a scent at all so I do feel that they were spot on with it being fragrance free. This is really nice for people who can't stand overly scented products, if you are pregnant or allergies. Within 5 hours I could really see my tan on the upper parts of my legs and was very impressed with how even my tan looked.

I was pleased with my application and how well the product worked so I went ahead the next day and finished up my body. Of course, hubby had to help with my back and the areas I couldn't reach. Plus, having a second pair of eyes to make sure you get it everywhere can't hurt. I did notice that the product lasts for almost one whole week and didn't come off during showers and washing dishes. This is really nice, it reminds me so much of when I used to do spray tans at a salon. I loved that the product did not rub off onto any of my clothes, towels or bed clothes. Plus, the fact that I didn't have to deal with any sticky or greasy skin is a very huge plus.

I will say at first I was scared on if the product would cause streaking, orange skin or simply not last. Well, after using this product I have not been faced with any of these issues. I really think the mitt helps with having no streaking it really allows for a even application for the product. There was also a nice little paper with a detail of how many pumps you should use for each body part. For example, for the face use a 1/4 of a pump.

This product has worked very well and I could not be more happier with how well tanned I am.

Where to purchase: You are able to make a purchase from the Famous Dave's Self Tanner website. Prices will vary depending on what you purchase.
