Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Brick Road & Bloomin' Berry Garden DVD's Review

SPRINGS GETS SWEETER WITH TWO NEW
WHIMSICAL ADVENTURES
Everyone’s Berry Best Friend Returns
in Two Fun-Filled Adventures Arriving on DVD March 6

Strawberry Shortcake is back just in time for Spring and is so sweet you will need two helpings! Touching the hearts of children for decades, this wildly successful franchise is back with two more magical tales, Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Brick Road and Strawberry Shortcake: Bloomin’ Berry Garden, blossoming on DVD March 6 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

First, Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Brick Road follows Strawberry and her friends as they retell the classic “Wonderful Wizard of Oz.” When a cyclone blows Strawberry to the strange land of Oz, she runs into trouble with the Wicked Witch and must journey to the Emerald City to ask the Wizard how to find her way back home.

Next, Strawberry Shortcake: Bloomin’ Berry Garden shows that it’s time for garden growing fun with Strawberry and her friends as they prepare for the Spring Flower Festival! But when magical sparkles make the Berrykins grow tall and the girls shrink down small, they discover that even when they’re tiny, they can make a big difference.

The cuteness of Strawberry Shortcake is undeniable. Most little girls (mine included) go through a “Shortcake phase” at some point in childhood and it has become quite the franchise. Everywhere you look, you can see Strawberry Shortcake; such as birthday parties, bedroom decor, clothes, and on the television (of course). Strawberry Shortcake is a very friendly and warm program that teaches young girls life lessons and helps promote healthy social interaction.

As I stated before, my little girl loves Strawberry Shortcake. Her phase never ended and she still gets excited to watch whatever new DVD that is released under the brand. I encourage this over day to day program as it is influential in a positive way. She loves the little adventures and big bright colors.

There are two new Strawberry Shortcake DVD’s available; “Bloomin’ Berry Garden” and “Berry Brick Road” My daughter loved them both. She has been watching Bloomin’ Berry Garden to help her sleep since it arrived. My favorite of the two is Berry Brick Road, as it is themed similar to the Wizard of Oz, my all time favorite movie. My daughter liked Berry Brick Road too.

These films are always cute and should always be considered when you are looking for new things for your small children to watch. Valuable morals and behavior is hidden inside, the kind of stuff your child’s active brain soaks up like a sponge without them realizing it. Anything positive is good for a kid’s rapidly developing mind.

If I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. There are far too many questionable programs that our children are exposed to. Some of it has even crept its way into our schools and onto the kid’s television channels. Combine that with the overly questionable material that plagues the internet, and you’ll soon see the value of films such as Strawberry Shortcake. As a parent, you probably already knew of that value, so if you haven’t done so yet, you should pick up these two great DVD’s. They could be the perfect addition to a Easter basket, and are sure to put a sparkle in your little girl’s eyes!
