KinderGlo Review/Giveaway

Isn't it funny how little ones tend to be so afraid of the dark? Sometimes, the fear seems so irrational, I think it is easy to forget that it is a part of childhood. Our little ones, however, often find themselves truly terrified, so we turn on a light outside of their rooms, or just plug in a nightlight. It is also funny how quickly that big bad monster in the closet disappears, when even the softest of light casts its glow. Of course, in most cases, when the child is grown the closet monsters disappear forever. My kids remind me so much of myself when I was their age. They get scared at night and hide under their blankets. They each have a lava lamp which, of course, gives off too much light, making them sneak and play instead of go to sleep. Then I have to turn off the lamps to make them settle down, and we're back to square one. When I was given the chance to do a review for KinderGlo, I was curious to see if there would be a difference in the nighttime routine. I thought long and hard on which one to choose. It was a tough decision, as they are all so cute. I finally decided to go with the Tyrannosaurus Night Light.

About the company: KinderGlo is a trademark of Blue Moon Lites Incorporated and the result of a convergence of technology and the emergence of the many children we are associated with. Blue Moon Lites is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our staff has a 25+ year span of experience in the consumer electronics world and a breadth of combined experience in multiple markets and countries. We build products on the belief that the designs should first fit a need and demand of the consumer while maintaining the most current quality and standard of technological excellence achievable in today’s market.
KinderGlo’s nightlight characters make a child's perfect daytime playing pal, but were specially designed to help get them through those dark nights when they are trying to sleep. They are perfectly portable, great for taking to a family member's home, on vacation, or simply from the bed to the dresser. They are never hot to the touch so you don't have to worry if your child wants to hang on to it while they are sleeping. The KinderGlo LED lights offer a soft hue that gently surrounds your little one. I swear that older, more conventional nightlights are almost as bright as the regular room light, even with the plastic guards, they heat up and tend to glow a little too brightly. Kinderglo's nightlights finally address these issues, with no negative impact.

The character's exteriors are made of materials that are soft, durable, non toxic, and completely safe for any child. Each KinderGlo comes with its very own charger and will power your light for 8-10 hours. There is a button on the bottom that you can use to change your color settings. Choose between fade off in 30 minutes or stay on all night with a single click of a button. Believe me when I say, the charge on these things really do last.

The characters that are offered are the: Quarter Moon, Tyrannosaurus, Bear, Brontosaurus, Angel, Elephant, Moose and Hippo. Each KinderGlo sells for only $24.95

I now know that I made the right decision when I decided to go with the Tyrannosaurus nightlight. It really seems to fit my little boy so well. Of course, it is a dinosaur, but it is a super friendly and cute Dino, not scary in any way. I loved that the KinderGlo comes with its very own charging dock, as this really helps with the use of batteries. In no time, it will pay for itself for what you save in AA batteries, this makes it easier on the ecosystem too. I am also very happy that the KinderGlo does not have to be plugged in at all during the nighttime hours. Charging the nightlight is a super easy, fast, and convenient process. You just place the nightlight on the docking station. It is designed perfectly where it just sits on top, no plugging in or sliding involved. Just drop it on top and go. It is as simple as placing a cup on the counter.

The KinderGlo is just the right size for children to hold on to. When not turned on, it is a solid white color. Turning it on offers a light hue of changing colors. It is not hot to the touch even after hours of use and also not excessively bright, I call it 'just right bright'. You don't have to worry about your little ones eyes. Think about something that glows in the dark and multiply that amount of light by 2-3 times.

My little boy loves his new KinderGlo night light. He knows how to place it on the charging dock and take it off. This exercises responsibility, and helps him feel like a big boy. At night, he takes it off of the charger and hops into bed with it. He can even turn it on and off by himself. He is able to fall asleep very easily with his new nightlight, which has simplified bedtime and helped me find my 'just right night'.
