Learning Resources 'Primary Science Magnet Set ' Review/Giveaway

I can remember when I was little and obsessed with magnets. I think it is really neat how they can either come together really fast or they can just float close to each other but never touch. My dad had a magnet tool that he would use when working on the car or other things. I would always play with it while I was outside being his little helper. Now that I have kids of my own, I can tell how intrigued they are with magnets as well. Of course, I would prefer another method of discovering magnets for them than tools. With the Primary Science Magnet Set from Learning Resources, they now have a fun and interesting way to learn all about magnets. Plus, hubby and I had fun too.

This helps attract early learners to the wonders of magnetism! Great for ages 5 and up. They are able to explore how the magnets attract and repel. Comes with chunky playful magnets in a variety of shapes, 10 different activity cards, and a large maze tray.
It didn't take long for my kids to want to play with the Magnet Set ofter they saw hubby and me checking it out. I love how there are so many different fun activities you can do with this set. You are able to move little lady bugs around on the maze while moving a handle around the bottom of the maze. You are also able to put a ring on the stand then put another one and it will float above the other magnet. To the kids it was like magic. You are able to see how one way you can stack the magnets on each other, or how they will come together and get stuck really fast. You are also able to use opposite sides of the magnets to where you can move the magnets or have them float, without them ever touching. Very amazing.

All components of the set are magnetized, there is a really cool Handle magnet, that is kid friendly spin on the design of a traditional U-shaped magnet. Oddly, this was my favorite thing in the set. Something about its design screamed "cool" and "innovation". Of course, my son's favorite parts were the little magnetized cars, which can also be "magically" moved via magnet under the table.

I am really happy with the included activity cards, as they are really interesting. There are a lot of really cool suggestions that you can try and be amazed by. The ideas on the activity cards will help you think of even more creative ideas. The kids have had so much fun testing this and that. I feel they have learned a lot about how magnets work, the pull they have and gravity. This would be great for any classroom, or at home to teach your little ones.

Where to purchase: Right from their website and prices will vary depending on what you will purchase. You are able to purchase from Amazon .
