Mrs. Renfro's Review/Giveaway

Me and hubby love to eat food that has different flavors and heat to it. One way to add flavor and heat is by eating sauces and salsa's. You would be surprised at how much your food can go too the next level with Mrs. Renfro's Gourmet Salsa's and Sauces.

About the company:**********Mrs. Renfro's gourmet product line became a favorite for salsa lovers and connoisseurs. Forced to keep up with increased demand, Renfro Foods expanded its manufacturing plant again in 1997. In 2000, Mrs. Renfro's products got a fresh, new contemporary look with a label and jar re-design to strengthen shelf presence. The following year, Renfro Foods began labeling in French and Spanish to increase its global presence with product distribution in new international markets. In 2005, the company built a new 12,000 square foot warehouse to accommodate continued growth.

As a community minded company, in 2007, Renfro Foods launched its Pink Lid Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. Six of its top-selling salsas - Mango Habanero, Green, Black Bean, Raspberry Chipotle, Habanero, and Peach - were all re-fitted with pink lids and new labels. A portion of the sales were given to organizations and institutions involved in cancer research. To date, the company has donated $45,000 to cancer research.

Today, with sons Jack and Bill, and grandchildren Doug, Becky and James active in the day-to-day operations, Renfro Foods and its Mrs. Renfro's label, continue to grow at a fast pace. Mrs. Renfro's products, which now include more than 30 salsas, sauces and relishes, are available at supermarkets, gourmet and gift shops and fruit and vegetable stands in all 50 states, Canada, the Caribbean and England.**********

There are 30 different flavors offered;Black Bean Salsa, Garlic Salsa, Green Salsa, Green Tomato Pickles, Nacho Cheese Sauce, Peach Salsa, Roasted Salsa, Barbecue Sauce, Corn Relish, Cane Syrup, Country Syrup, Hot Chow Chow, Mild Chow Chow, Hot Tomato Relish, Mild Tomato Relish, Mild Salsa, Medium Salsa, Hot Salsa, Mexican Hot Sauce, Mexican Mild Sauce, Habanero Salsa, Mango Habanero Salsa, Whole Jalapeno Peppers, Pineapple Salsa, Pomegranate Salsa, Tequila Salsa, Nacho-sliced Jalapenos, Ghost Pepper Salsa, Chipotle Corn Salsa. These flavors come in a variety of heat; mild hot and extra hot.
During my review I was sent four different flavors to try; Medium Salsa, Barbecue Sauce, Nacho Cheese Sauce, and Ghost Pepper Sauce. Our family tends to eat a lot when it comes to salsa, not only on taco's and dipping, but in recipes. Also, we tend to use salsa on different kinds of meat while it is cooking. Salsa can add so much flavor to meat while it is cooking.

The Nacho Cheese Sauce was perfect for dipping nacho's into. It has a really cheesey taste with some heat but not too much. It has medium heat which is great if you don't want to keep drinking after each bite. This was also really nice to add onto chili as well.

The Barbecue sauce flavored my chicken perfectly. I have tried so many different barbecue sauces that after a while they all tend to taste the same. This barbecue sauce had a flavor of it's own. It was tangy and sweet making a great flavor for any chicken.

The Medium Salsa and also the Ghost Pepper Sauce was prefect for cooking on steaks, chicken, porkchops and more. The flavor really compliments the meat. It was so funny, hubby decided to open the Ghost Pepper Sauce and take a huge lick off of a spoon. His eyes got so huge and you could tell it was hot. Although, he did say he loved the flavors and the after taste. He loves hot stuff anyways so this really wasn't an issue for him. He also said he liked how the heat, though very hot, went away quickly, giving him the kick he wanted without continuing to burn his mouth after he was finished.

All of the sauces and salsa's that I reviewed were tasty and flavorful. Honestly I can't wait to make some more dishes with these added flavors.

Where to purchase: You are able to purchase right from the website for $3.25 for each jar.
