Cowgirl Chocolates Review/Giveaway

I love to eat chocolate candy bars, I mean they are a great snack or simply a great way to relax. Chocolate candy bars can be eaten with or without nuts. Although, I love chocolate and have tried so many different brands and flavors I have never tried spicy candy bars. Cowgirl Chocolates has sent me four different flavors, all of which were new to me.

About the company: Head Cowgirl Marilyn Lysohir founded Cowgirl Chocolates in 1997. Her two favorite things in the world are art (she has a notable career as a ceramic sculptor) and chocolate. In fact her first job was working in a chocolate factory in Pennsylvania. Marilyn mingled some favorite memories with some new ideas to create an American original, Cowgirl Chocolates...chocolates with a spicy cowgirl kick. She was the pioneer, one of the first companies to offer spicy chocolates in the world.

Cowgirl Chocolates has won a total of 19 product awards and 2 packaging awards and is located in Moscow, Idaho USA. It has also been featured on the Food Network on “Unwrapped” and “Extreme Cuisine” and on CNBC “On the Money”. They have also been written up in the New York Times, InStyle, the Toronto Star among others.

There is an assortment of products offered by Cowgirl Chocolates: Truffles, Chocolates, Chocolate Bars, Caramels, Cocoa & Treats, Colts & Fillers, and items for gifts and occasions.
Cowgirl Chocolates has eight new chocolate truffle bars. The flavors consist of four mild and four spicy. Retail price per each bar 1.76 oz. ranges from $2.50-$3.00.
Spicy Toffee
Spicy Mint
Spicy Raspberry
Spicy Almond
Mild Green Tea
Mild Hazelnut
Mild Milk Chocolate
Mild Dark Chocolate
During my review I was sent four different flavors; Spicy Mint, Spicy Almond, Mild Green Tea, Mild Hazelnut. Of course, each came in its own color-coated wrapper, each was also labeled clearly, and I had no trouble telling them apart. Each candy bar had a unique flavor and I'll admit I was a bit aprehensive when I saw the spicy bars, but I must honestly confess, the spicy bars weren't bad at all. I do like spicy food and these bars taste like a conventional candy bar should, just spicy. Typically I will avoid hazelnut, it's not that I find it to be a bad flavor, it's just that usually it is too strong of a flavor. The cowgirl chocolate Hazelnut has a very soft hazelnut flavor that I was actually able to enjoy. The quality of these bars make them worthy of a purchase, as well as a viable competitor in today's candy and snack market.

Where to purchase: You are able to purchase from the Cowgirl Chocolates website.
