The Victoria Chart Company " My Growing Up Chart" Review/Giveaway "Holiday Gift Guide 2011"

My little Mr. Man Conner is ADHD, which at times it can be really hard to deal with. He has a lot of issues with being able to go too bed, settle down enough to eat, behaving, and many more things. We have tried several different things from special diets, these cookies at GNC that is able to help, Fish Oil supplements, and some other things. We have even talked to his DR. about medication. I never thought I would think about medicine but due to the fact that it is hard on his teachers at school, I have started to think about it. Although, he isn't able to try any medicine until he is five, which isn't until May. Until then we are still trying all kinds of different things.

I was so thrilled when I was given the chance to work with The Victoria Chart Company. They have charts that help with children with no issues to children that may need help. These charts are amazing and I was really surprised at how well this company has helped with my little boy.

About the company:**********The Victoria Chart Company was founded in 2004 by Victoria Ballard. Like any parent who wants the best for their child, Victoria wanted to do all that she could for her two children, particularly, her son who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 18 months.

Victoria discovered that a reward system she developed worked fabulously well for her children. It built their self-esteem helping them to become confident and, most importantly, proud of their progress.

The system worked so well that she has dedicated her time to creating tools for parents and professionals to help children and their families realise the power of developmental progress that comes from the simple process of Encourage & Praise.

Today, The Victoria Chart Company is internationally recognized and is a specialist in creating products for positive development in children. Victoria and her team continue to research and develop new products for parents, carer givers and professionals to help children succeed.**********

The Victoria Chart Company has produced world-class reward charts and products for parents  to monitor and positively enhance development in children from ages 1 to 12 years. ~A Supportive Information Sheet with a practical example, tips and guidelines to help you and your child get the best results from your chart.
~Sticky mounting pads and a dry-erase marker.
When I got this I loved how everything was reusable. This was nice, since it allows me to use the chart over and over. The more and longer I use this I know the more it will work and help improve my little boys behavior. When I looked at all the stickers I decided to use a few of the ones already made up and make up a few myself. I used the; I dressed myself, I've eaten my food, I've been good at bedtime, I enjoyed school, and I've been polite stickers. I also wrote out a few of my own things that I knew would be great to work on also; I cleaned my room, I have brushed my teeth and I was good at the store. These I felt would be the best for my little boy as they are the issues he seems to have a lot.

He really enjoys getting to place the stickers on his chart. I decided I also had to do an incentive. When he gets 20 dots on one section he gets a hot wheel. This is a way of rewarding him. Then also if he does something on his own he gets a star, which he gets super excited. I have been using this for a few weeks now, and I can't believe how much it is helping.

I have really started seeing a difference in his behavior as well has the teachers at school. His teacher sends a letter home everyday sharing about his day. This allows me to know how he is doing at school. In return I can let him add dots if he was able to earn any. Another thing since he knows his numbers and knows how to count, he knows when he has 20.

I would recommend this to anyone who has children with behavior issues, as it really helps them. Also, for kids that are just growing and you are teaching them on how to do things, this also would work great. A lot of kids do better with visual things to help them, instead of just being told. My little boy is this way. Thank you so much Victoria Chart Company, you have such an amazing item, I truly appreciate it.
