SodaStream Review

I am a huge fan well maybe a little addicted to my pop/soda. I drink probably around 5-6 cans of Mountain Dew a day and sometimes I break away from my favorite and get a little wild with some Pepsi. Then you add in my husband when he is home from the river and we go thought 5 or more 24 packs a month of pop. Not to many 2 liter's thought with all we drink I would hate to see the plastic bottles we would accumulate. We have so many can's that we collect them all year long and cash them in right before vacation to give the kids some spending money to buy what ever they want. It works great, if you don't mind spending all the money on pop, smashing cans without trying to get cut, then hauling them to the junk yard. Oh yes it can be fun! So, when I had the opportunity to review SodaStream I knew this was going to be really nice on cutting down on waste, money and for me hoping it tastes great.

During my review I had the chance to review several different flavors: Root Beer, Diet Lemon-Lime, Black Currant & Pear, Ginger Ale, Cola, Energy, Cola Free, Green Tea Pomegranate Peach, Cranberry-Raspberry, and Diet Pink Grapefruit. I also had the chance to review e flavors in MyWater flavor essence: Orange, Raspberry and Lemon-Lime. Also, there was a box with several single use flavors that I had the chance to try as well. A full, licensed CO2 carbonator is included with the purchase of every SodaStream soda maker kit. When empty, SodaStream takes back the cylinder to be cleaned, inspected, refilled and reused. Carbonators may be exchanged online, or at select SodaStream authorized retailers.
I was so excited to give this a try when I received it. I did have to put the SodaStream together but it wasn't that much within a couple of minutes I had it together. The carbonator was simple to get into place as well. It was a very simple process to get everything ready. All you do to use this SodaStream is add water to the fill line on the bottle, and attach the bottle to the machine. I like how you can tilt where the bottle screws onto to make it easier for attaching to two together, this also makes it easy to unscrew and take apart. When it is attached you simple push the button to carbonate and you will hear a serious of three beeps which lets you know you have it all done. Then you tilt the bottle to help with getting it off so that way you don't make a mess with overflowing. You simply add the flavor that you want to the water after it is carbonated, it automatically mixes on it's own the kids love to watch this they think it is pure magic. I love that the bottle comes with a lid that way you can store the pop until it is all gone and the lid does not let the carbonation out. The bottle does equal to a one liter so it won't take long to drink it. Wash it up when done and you are ready to make some more pop. At first I wasn't sure if it was going to be any good or not and if I would still just want to stay with store bought pop. When I made my first one I tried the flavor that was to resemble Mountain Dew. I was actually surprised at the taste I mean it don't taste exactly but it is really close and it is actually really tasty. The kids loved this very much with the lemon-lime flavors. My most favorite thing would have to be the flavored water's I really love these a lot. I am not much of a water drinker but having flavored water is really nice. The SodaStream has actually saved us quit a bit of money so far and I am sure it will continue.
