Something I've Outgrown

So I am doing this 5 Day Writing Challenge through the Lady Blogger's Society. Today's question is about something that you have outgrown. Which I can answer with no problem. I mean there are a lot of things that I have outgrown but goodness I can't write about them all because it would never end. So, I decided to talk about one thing that I feel I have grown out of and am also very happy about it.

Ok here we go! I have grown out of our home and the area we live in. I mean my house is little and very nice it just doesn't have enough room for all of us and our belongings. We have rented our home where we live now for 4 years in Jan. and will be until the summer of 2014 when we move to Dublin, OH. Our house is very nice and it is our home but we need more. MORE ROOM! Right now my room is a storage room instead of a bedroom not sure what a bedroom is anymore lol! Another thing our kids rooms are very little which is ok in my daughters room because she has a loft bed. That was such a great purchase because it gave her so much more room which she really needed. I wish we could do that for our little boy but he would just try to fly off the top of the bed.

So, not sure what I can do about what I am outgrowing because I can't do anything about it until 2014. You know that is a really long time but it is something to look forward too. A new area, new home, and well just NEW!

Roundabouts Cupcake Sleeves (Tomoson) Review/Giveaway

Oh cupcakes! I do love them so much and well the kids do now a lot more then they did. I was presented with Roundabouts Decorative Wraps Little Burger and let me just say my kids went crazy. I have never been to much on baking but this did change my mind really fast. I mean who doesn't want to make cupcakes that look something other than cupcakes. It is such an amazing fun thing to do with your kids and then eat something really yummy after you are all done.

The company Moon Cherie, Inc. was launched in 2007 with the revolutionary product Roundabouts. Since the company first until now they have been in 'Everyday with Rachel Ray' to 'Pasadena Magazine' and American Cake Decorating'. There are also 70+ designs from: Holidays, Occasions, Sports, Birthday and lots of random designs like popcorn tubs, ice cream cones, baby bottle and the list goes on. All of the designs are only $8.99 per dozen which (excludes Couture or Jumbo sizes). Also they are easy to store because they are so thin, I was able just to put them in my cookbook and you didn't even know they were there.

Roundabouts are Earth Friendly which is anti-microbial and  water resistant. They are also Bakery quality made using a bleach free process. A great feature I love is that they are solvent free so you don't have to worry about the print bleeding or running. They are easy to wipe excess icing off of also which I did have to do a few times. Roundabouts is also patent pending while being designed and made in the US. There is also a great step by step video to help you here.
So after getting the Roundabouts I had to get all set up  and as you can see my kids were super ready to get started. I did let them do most of the work while I just set there and take pictures. Which I don't think they minded one bit. There was a dozen Roundabout sleeves which was perfect I only had to make one tray.
So the kids then filled all the trays and they did take turns really well which I was so proud of them NO FIGHTING  which was plus.
To the fun part the masterpieces start. They really had so much fun with this making there hamburger cupcakes. They had a blast and it was so simple and easy that even little ones could do it. One thing that was great is it does come with step by step  directions on how to make the icing the color you need. Also on how to make it look like a hamburger.

Ok so mine didn't look as good lol! But, that's ok because I have never been a good at decorating when it comes to this kind of stuff but I though it turned out pretty good. Plus my kids did do most of the work.

You can go to Roundabouts Cupcake Sleeves to look around or even order. You can also show some love by liking them on Facebook and by following them on Twitter. How I've done on The Blog Dare.

Ok, so yesterday I joined a group on Bloggy Moms called " The Blog Dare". I am really excited to get started with this because, honestly I am a horrible person at trying to think about what to post. This I think will help me at times my brain just is not working for me lol! Plus, with me being so new at the blogging thing 3 months old this will really help me get into the posting of other things.

I am not sure if I will get to post something from the Blog Dare everyday but I will sure try! I am not one of those people that can just write what they are feeling into a conversation on here but boy I sure wish I was. Now, my hubby is great at writing he needs to give me some of his skills lol! I do think as time goes this will help me become a better writer and as time goes I will then be able to think of stuff to write about without a prompt.

So, I am looking forward to the next year doing this Blog Dare and you all will get to know me really well!

Italian Meat Ball Sauce Recipe!

I have this amazing recipe Italian Meat Ball Sauce. It has been in my family for several years. It came from my grandmother, but I am not sure where she got it from. I am hoping you all love it as much as family has. There is a pretty good amount of products, but most of this stuff you should already have at home.
Sauce:
(2) can's tomato paste
(2) can's of water
(1) can tomato sauce
(6) drops of hot sauce
(1) small onion
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
salt and pepper to taste

Meat Balls:
(2) lbs. ground beef
1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs
(1) egg
1/2 tsp. salt

~cook for 1 - 2 hours

I always get the sauce started before I start on the meat balls, that way as they are being cooked I am putting them into the sauce. I also use minced onions instead of a real onion since the kids won't eat onions. It tastes just as good to me. I also always double my sauce batch also but you don't have too.

After that I then mix up my meatballs. I don't buy bread crumbs I just make my own. I just toast up 3 slices of bread like you would for breakfast then put them in the mini chopper and like magic I have my own bread crumbs. But, you can just buy them if you want.

I use a really little ice cream scoop that way all my meatballs are the same size that way cooking time is the same on them. I also roll them around in flower before cooking them. Then I fry them up to cook them, drain them and into the sauce they go.

I usually let them cook for around an hour before I start my water for the pasta. That way the meatballs can cook in the sauce and soak up the taste really good.
This is my finished project and oh boy was it tasty. Ok, so one of the reason's I cook a double batch of sauce, is that way I have a lot left over. I then put  1 1/2 cups of sauce and meatballs into freezer bags and put them into the freezer. They stay good for 3 months like this. So nights that I don't feel like cooking and even for lunch. All I do is sit it out and let it thaw and heat up some pasta. Then I have my homemade dinner and I saved a lot of money in the process.

Such a busy Saturday

First off I have such a busy weekend ahead of me starting with today Saturday. It is crazy to me that even with being a stay at home mom, life is still so super busy. I am not sure how to get everything done by Monday but the SUPER MOM in me better come out! So I woke up today realizing my hubby is coming home Wednesday morning around 3am. Hubby works on the river as a tow-boater so he is gone for 30 days at a time. I sure don't want him to come home right now and see the house if you know what I mean. The house is a little crazy with the kids being home all the time due to a none stop snow days, which is starting to get old. My house looks like a tornado went through it literally, well maybe not that bad but close enough lol! So I guess I do need to get some stuff done. Lets see where to start I have done a little bit so far but not much. I need to do:
  • ~(2) bathrooms: tubs, toilets, sinks and floors and I hate doing bath rooms.
  • ~(2) kids rooms beds, pick up, dusting and sweeping which their rooms are crazy right now.
  • ~ Kitchen floor, wash dishes since I am the dish washer, and counters
  • ~ Living Room pick up which isn't to bad, dusting, and the lovely floors which take forever since they are hard wood I have to sweep then  polish which takes forever.
  • ~ my bedroom which is a total mess since this is more of a storage room then a bedroom. I have everything to do with ebay and blogging and alot of other things in here. So to get it clean is like the worst thing to do. I have to do the bed, clean off the desk which OMG is all I can say. Dust and sweep.
  • ~ Laundry which I am happy to say I only have like3 loads which is making me happy!
  • ~ Clean the office which takes me 20 minutes to get there clean which takes like 2 hours then drive back home for 20 minutes.
I can't forget I need to do some things here on the computer. I need to do a review/giveaway. I also need to do some of my fav things like hopping! I also need to try to catch up on my sweepstakes and instant win games since I haven't done any for a week. I have gotten a little behind.

I am also going to make homemade Italian Meat Ball Sauce and Speg. for dinner and put the recipe on here which I am sure you all will love. The rest of my meals for the next couple of days will be me eating while doing things. I just really hate to spend all my time doing this when my hubby is home I would so much rather spend time with him then deep cleaning.

I just remembered, sometime next week I need to start putting things on ebay again.

You can help your school by clipping Box Tops off of stuff you already buy on a daily basis. There are over 240 brands that have Box Tops on them. You can go here to see all the ways you can help your schools at

AHCC & Ocean Family of Products Review/Giveaway

I was presented with 3 great products from The Ocean Family of Products. With my kids and me we always have super dry noses due to all the seasonal allergies in our area. We are always looking for a relief from the dryness and Ocean has helped us so much.

The first item I tried was the Complete Sinus Irrigation. Which is a 6fl. oz. canister with 2 interchangeable actuator tips. The white tip is for spray moisturizing and the orange is for stream irrigation. There is also a wide adapter for nasel irrigation included. I was a little skeptical at first when I opened the box due to me not being able to use a Neti Pot at all. I read the instructions and it seemed so much easier due to the fact that it had step by step instuctions and I didn't have to tilt my head at all and no mess. Which is another great thing I loved no mixing and no clean up. There are so many things this product helps with: relieve allergy, cold & flu symptoms, help relieve congestion, return moisture, reduce nosebleeds which we have alot of, moisturize and irrigate membranes which is after you may have a surgery, relieve dryness, and general moisturizing. I have quite a bit of these issues which it has helped with.

The next item was Ocean Premium Saline Nasal Spray  I have used this bottle of Saline so much already. With it being winter I seem to wake up a lot with a dry nose not being able to breath right. After using this on one use it instantly soothed my relief to were I could breath and go back to sleep with no problems. One really nice feature is that it delivers saline 3 different ways with the same bottle just by holding it a different way each time. You can hold it upright and it turns into a fine mist, horizontally it is a stream and upside down it will do tiny drops. Which is nice with this product being safe enough for children. The Ocean Premium Saline Nasal Spray helps with general moisturizing, relieve allergy, cold & flu symptoms, relieve congestion, return moisture, reduce nosebleeds, moisturize and irrigate membranes, and  relieve dryness associated with oxygen treatments.

The last product I was presented with from them was Ocean for Kids. I will start off saying I absolutely love this product for my kids. Both of my little ones have dry and often bleeding noses from the climate here and due to allergies and sinus problems. This product is also for infants which is a huge plus to mommies everywhere out there. Where it is non-medicated you do not have to worry about any side effects. This product helps with all the same things the other products helps with. This is also safe to use several times a day which has had to done in our home already.

I was also presented with Kinoko AHCC which my hubby decided he would test this product. With his job he works on the river for 30 days straight with no way to get off the boat and go anywhere all he see's is the rivers and no land pretty much. So he can't afford to get sick so he was more then happy to test AHCC. AHCC is a patented extract of hybridized medicinal mushrooms that are designed to significantly improve immune response by enhancing the function of DC cells, NK cells, T-cells, Cytokines and Macrophages. AHCC stands for Active Hexose Correlated Compound which is one of the worlds most researched natural immunomodulators. Which means it helps with  boosting your immune system to help you defeat or prevent colds. AHCC is a product of Japan and is now used in over 1000 clincis worldwide.

AHCC is supported by over 80 research studies. Research has been conducted on AHCC at reputable colleges in the US such as Harvard and Yale. One study of 269 participants showed that AHCC can incerase the number or activity of :
  • Natural Killer (NK) cells, the body's first line of defense
  • Dendritic cells which initiate adaptive immune response
  • T-cells, which provide backup to NK cells
  • Macrophages, which can clean up cellular debris
  • Cytokines, which activate the immune system

You can read what other research is being done on AHCC to help with  various health conditions and disease at  AHCC Research Association. Suggested use of AHCC is to take 4-12 capsules daily before meals.

My hubby started taking AHCC as soon as we got it. He had already been a little sick from being at work for 30 days. He seems to catch a lot due to being worn down physically.  He jumped right in there, he took 8  a day. 4 before breakfast and 4 before dinner. Within a few days he was feeling so much better. He and I both were in shock at how fast it worked and how he was back to normal. He has told me this has to be one of the things we keep in his medicine bag that he takes to work for now on. I think everyone should at least try AHCC once so you too can see how it works.
